When Encore Event Technologies brought us the Amway Conference, they brought us scale. Guests flying in from every corner of the world, hotels across Melbourne booked out, and 260 tables waiting at Melbourne Showgrounds for something worth travelling for. No pressure then. We said watch this.

You cannot style 260 tables with subtlety. So we went abundant. Every single centrepiece was a sculptural composition of fresh and artificial fruits, vegetables and blooms, piled high with grapes, artichokes, pomegranates and citrus in every colour going. Deep plums against golden pears, crimson anthuriums reaching through the fruit, gold leaf catching the light. Every table its own still life painting, and none of them the same.

Then came the showstopper. The head table stretched 19 metres, and we dressed every single one of them end to end with a runner of fresh fruits and vegetables. Full of colour, texture and personality, cascading down the table like the land itself had been invited to dinner. Guests walked in and stopped mid conversation. That is the moment we style for.
