Some rooms you walk into. This one walked into you. 1,500 guests. The Crown Palladium at full stretch. Hawthorn Football Club’s Peter Crimmins Medal, the night the club crowns its best and fairest. The stakes on the stage were high, but we were hired for what sat in front of every single seat. And that’s where we went to work.

At the heart of every tablescape sat our gold Luna vase, a sculptural, crescent shaped piece with a warm metallic finish that did half the styling work on its own. Its curved silhouette caught the candlelight and the room’s uplighting all night, so even from across the ballroom, the tables had a glint to them.

Into the Luna we built tones of orange and brown blooms: burnt orange and terracotta hydrangeas paired with chocolate, amber and rust tones, layered for depth rather than precision. The warmth of the flowers against the gold of the vase was the whole palette in miniature, and because the vase is such a strong shape, the florals could sit loose and organic without the arrangement ever feeling messy.

It’s the pairing we love: a vase with architecture, blooms with movement. Structured metal, soft petals. And when that combination is repeated across 150 tables, the ballroom reads as one continuous golden glow, every guest sitting inside the same warm, autumnal atmosphere, no matter where their seat was.

Big events don’t need big noise on the tables. They need a clear idea, executed identically, at scale, so the room feels designed, not dressed. Gold, burnt orange, candlelight on black. Simple. Repeated. Unmissable.

Designed for Hawthorn’s best and fairest, applied end to end. That’s BIG DECOR ENERGY.
