Carousel Albert Park got the golden treatment, and we were right there making it happen, this one created in collaboration with the brilliant team at Solution Entertainment for Newcrest Mining Limited. From the second guests arrived, this cocktail party had a point of view. They strutted up a black carpet flanked by a beautifully curated backdrop, branded, floral and golden touches catching the light before anyone had even reached the bar. That’s the thing about a proper welcome moment, it sets the tone before a single word is spoken.

But the real showstopper was the stage. A gold confetti wall anchored the whole scene, with giant inflated orbs positioned either side, spilling forward onto the stage itself like the room simply couldn’t contain them. Oversized, sculptural, unmissable, this wasn’t decoration, it was a statement.

Around every hard edge, feature floral installations softened the drama, tying the gold, the graphics and the architecture of the space into one complete, cohesive look. Cohesion is everything, darling, when every element speaks the same language, guests feel it the second they walk in, even if they couldn’t tell you why.

Overhead, LED retro inspired lighting swept the space, layering movement and warmth over the gold on gold palette for maximum effect. It gave the whole room a pulse, light catching every orb, every floral edge, every branded touch, and throwing it back tenfold.

What we built at Carousel that night was gold in its most confident form, maximalist in its materials, disciplined in its message. Keep it bold. No ego. Every guest walked into a space that knew exactly what it was, and left knowing exactly what golden goodness feels like. That’s not decoration. That’s a mood.
