THE TEAM
When YPO Melbourne Chapter wanted to launch their new financial year, they didn’t play it safe and neither did we. Essendon Fields Airport wasn’t just another corporate gathering; it was a carefully orchestrated collision between raw industrial space and refined luxury.
The Levantine Hill Wines Hangar became our canvas, where concrete met couture and aviation history shook hands with haute design. This was elegance with an edge, sophistication without the stuffiness. Forget everything you think you know about corporate events, this was different. We stripped away the predictable and dove headfirst into a palette that demanded attention: deep emerald velvet against industrial concrete, burnt orange bleeding into toffee tones, all anchored by fresh foliage that brought life to steel and glass. Every design choice was deliberate, every detail sharp. No fluff, no filler, just pure concentrated impact that hit you the moment you walked through those hangar doors.
The tables told their own story. Bold yet intimate, striking yet inviting. Custom bloom arrangements weren’t just pretty; they were architectural statements featuring seasonal yellows, muted oranges, and rich browns punctuated with coral pink that refused to be ignored. So Gold candle holders with coloured wax created pools of warm light, whilst En Vogue tealights formed perfect trios between them. Minimal foliage meant maximum impact, clean lines, strong silhouettes, zero compromise.
Food became art, art became experience. Different master chefs crafted each course, turning dinner into a journey rather than just a meal. Levantine Hill Estate wines flowed like liquid stories, each vintage chosen not for show but for substance. This wasn’t about impressing anyone, it was about creating something real, something that mattered, something that would stick long after the last glass was emptied.
Then came the helicopter moment, because sometimes life demands a plot twist. The Levantine Hill Estate helicopter appeared against the backdrop like something out of a film noir, its logo cutting through the evening sky. Not showing off, just existing in perfect synchronisation with everything happening below. Raw power meeting refined taste, aviation meeting sophistication, past meeting future.
What happened that night wasn’t about us, it was about them. The YPO members experienced something that couldn’t be bought off a shelf or copied from a magazine. Real design, real craft, real moments that matter. No ego, no excess, just honest excellence delivered without apology. Because the best events don’t shout about how brilliant they are; they simply are brilliant, letting the experience speak for itself whilst everyone else tries to keep up.
