SMALL GUEST LIST. BIG DECOR ENERGY. Micro weddings, maximum impact, that’s the only way we do it at DECOR IT STUDIO. When the Speakeasy Group came to us to launch their micro wedding offerings at the breathtaking Nick & Nora Melbourne, we didn’t walk into that brief, we strode into it. Full energy. Full vision. Full commitment to making something unforgettable.
Nick & Nora Melbourne isn’t just a venue, it’s a love letter written in bricks and brass. Romance is literally built into its DNA, from the moody interiors to the name etched above the door. So when we designed this shoot, we leaned ALL the way into that energy. We didn’t just match the space, we amplified it.
Moody florals in deep, velvety tones anchored every corner of the shoot with drama and intention. We’re talking lush arrangements that felt opulent without screaming for attention, the kind of blooms that make you stop mid-sentence and just feel something. Every stem was chosen with purpose, every arrangement placed like punctuation in a very beautiful sentence.
Velvet touches ran throughout, in the textures, the tones, the overall mood of the space. And then there was the piece de résistance: our custom deep burgundy love letter installation. It said everything without saying too much. Restraint and romance, perfectly balanced. That’s the sweet spot we always chase.
This is what happens when vintage Hollywood glamour shakes hands with modern edge, and honestly? It’s a whole mood. The kind of mood that makes couples look at each other and say yes, this is it. This is exactly what we want. And that reaction? That’s why we do what we do.
A massive thank you to our incredible collaborators who brought this vision to life. The Speakeasy Group, for trusting us with something this special. And the extraordinarily talented Klique Studios, whose lens captured every velvet fold, every petal, every romantic detail with absolute precision.
