THE FEELS
Inspired by the glamour and gold-drenched decadence of the Great Gatsby — with a twenty-first birthday glow-up all its own.
THE TEAM
Guests didn’t walk in, they ARRIVED. A red felt carpet rolled out the welcome, backed by custom-printed signage that set the tone from the street. (We toyed with pink, but red won the argument, some drama is non-negotiable.) First impressions matter, and this one said you are somewhere fabulous now before anyone even touched the door handle.
Inside, the living room became pure Art Deco theatre, crystal diamonds catching the light on styled surfaces, lush blooms in full Gatsby regalia, and hired furniture arranged so there was always somewhere glamorous to perch. Every corner had a moment; every moment had a camera-ready finish. Think champagne-era luxury, styled for a twenty-one-year-old with taste well beyond her years.
Then we went down, literally. The den got its own identity with moody green uplighting that washed the whole space in emerald, turning an ordinary room into the after-dark heart of the party. Club lighting, home address. It’s the contrast that made the night: golden glamour upstairs, green-lit mischief below.
And because we leave NOTHING unstyled, even the bathroom got the bash treatment, because a guest experience is every room your guests walk into, and this crew was walking into all of them. Balloon garlands tied the palette together throughout, softening the sparkle with serious fun.
Twenty-one looks very good on Jess. The carpet was red, the light was green, the bubbles were flowing, and the house will never quite be the same, that’s the point. Happy 21st, queen.
