We took over Freda’s Bistro on a Sunday and turned it into a love letter to the mother-to-be, literally. A “love letters” station invited guests to write their wishes for bébé, polaroids snapping away beside it, so the day left behind a keepsake as well as a memory. That’s the kind of detail that makes a celebration feel personal, not produced.

The florals did the heavy lifting, and WEREN’T they showing off. Lush installations of burgundy, oxblood and peach roses tumbled over greenery, dotted with chili peppers, grapes, pomegranates and moss, moody, rich and full-on romantic, like a Tuscan dinner party that ran past midnight. No baby-blue clichés in sight.

Every station got the treatment. The drinks menu came framed with that hand-drawn wavy border, backed by more florals and a cheeky pile of chillies, because this family doesn’t do bland. Personalised “Bebé” crates anchored the installations, tying the whole story back to the guest of honour.

And the room glowed. Tall candles, warm bistro light, and florals at every turn meant everywhere you looked was a photo waiting to happen. Mama-to-be glowing in her print dress against all that colour? Perfection.
