What an absolute night to remember! We had the absolute pleasure of bringing the glamour and high energy for the Nelson Alexander 50 + 1 Awards Night at the National Gallery of Victoria, and the vibe in the room was pure magic. Our team went all out to craft an unforgettable aesthetic that blended the raw, dramatic scale of the venue with lush, passionate color. From the second guests stepped through the doors, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and celebration.

The grand entrance feature set the tone for the entire evening with a massive statement moment. We framed a brilliant red neon 50 + 1 sign with wild, sprawling botanical archways featuring deep red orchids, glossy anthuriums, and textural greenery. It created a high fashion, electric photo backdrop that guests immediately fell in love with. The contrast between neon lights and rich organic textures made every photo look straight out of a magazine.

Inside the main event space, the lighting and table design took the atmosphere to a whole new level. Deep blue ambient lighting washed over the stone walls, creating a moody, atmospheric backdrop for brilliant pops of fiery red. We dressed the tables with sleek dark linens and polished glassware, ensuring every setting felt incredibly luxurious and tailored.

To add drama and height across the room, we featured towering multi tier chrome candelabras with glowing taper candles. The candlelight flickered off glass sleeves and metallic pillars, casting a warm and energetic glow across every table. Combined with the dramatic red uplighting along the venue walls, the room felt alive with golden celebration.

The floral design was all about bold texture and passionate crimson shades. We curated explosive arrangements featuring velvety red roses, deep burgundy disbud mums, trailing amaranthus, and glossy, dramatic anthuriums. Single red roses reached gracefully out of the arrangements, adding a modern, sculptural touch that felt fresh and totally dynamic.

Bringing this visionary event to life alongside the amazing team at Nelson Alexander at the NGV was an absolute highlight. Seeing all the elements come together from the glowing neon entry to the candlelit tables created a seamless, high energy experience that celebrated 51 years of excellence in true style. We are still buzzing from such an incredible night!
